Columbus High Blue Devils Baseball Team Adds Rapsodo Technology in Search of Another State Title in 2024
New School or Old School, the consensus is in. Players that move on to higher levels deal with metrics surrounding their baseball performance. Because, we are, as always Columbus High, the 2nd ranked public school in Georgia and 75th in the nation, we take great pride in preparing students, and indeed some student athletes for the next level.
Over the past few years, the Baseball Coaching Staff at Columbus High has been looking at adding technology to their already fantastic set of tools at Columbus High School. With a perfect storm of fantastic prior and current booster club administration, coaching staff going all-in, and an opportunity found locally, the Blue Devils took the plunge and invested in 3 key pieces of technology. The Rapsodo pitching, hitting, and insight super high speed camera will provide mountains of usable, executable data for all levels of players and our coaching staff to analyze and make improvements.
In particular, the coaching staff at Columbus had to go all-in. It’s a personal level of investment for each of them to dive deep into putting the data to work and designing the program that will best fit each level of player they deal with. They are not thanked enough for the time spent behind the scenes investing in the success of the student athletes they lead.
“I look forward to seeing my staff invest in both the students and their own futures with some of the best available technology options in the marketplace. I know the tremendous athletes that choose to play at Columbus High School and my outstanding staff will benefit from this investment for years to come.” – Chad Mathis, Head Baseball Coach and Athletic Director
A special thank you to all of our supporters who enable us to provide our student athletes these types of opportunities.
