Reginald “RJ” Griffin Signs with Alcorn St

RJ Griffin Jr., a standout his entire career at Columbus, is taking his talents to the next level after High School with the Alcorn St. Braves to play Division I baseball in the SWAC conference of the NCAA.
Head Coach Carlton Hardy and Assistant Coach Kirt Cormier are excited to have RJ join them next year at Willie E. “Rat” McGowan stadium. RJ will pitch and hit for the Braves. He will look to contribute right away with 90+ mph ready to go.
RJ’s parents, Reginald and Victoria Griffin, are both in the education space. “Dr. Regi” has been the primary scorekeeper for the Blue Devils in 2025 and “Vikki” has contributed mightily to the program. We are sad to see you go and happy to see RJ chase his dreams at the next level.
